FITNESS CLASS/STUDIO POLICY
Call 760 777-6750 for more information. Please arrive 5-10 min early with proof of guest status to ensure our 45-minute classes (History Tour is 90 min) start on time. Maximum capacity for studio 1 is 12 and for studio 2, 18. We do not take reservations for classes. When at capacity there will be a sign posted on the door. Class schedules and instructors are subject to change. Personal training, private classes and studio rentals are available, to include mats ($10 a day) and yoga blocks ($5 a day). See the Recreation Desk for all equipment rentals. Guests under age 16 are not permitted in the fitness center nor in classes.
History Walk
Learn how the vision of the La Quinta Hotel (later the resort) came to be a reality and the man who had that vision. Hear about the changes that occurred over the years as you take a leisurely stroll on the 45-acre grounds with stops to point out the old Grayson Farms ranch, the Morgan home, the Palm Grove, the Cyrus Pierce house, El Presidente, La Casa, the Arzner Villa, the cactus garden, the original Renker pool, the waterfall, and the Frank Capra casita. The tour ends at the spa.

Fitness Walk
Lace up your tennis shoes and be prepared for a brisk walk around this internationally famous resort nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Begin with a 10-minute warm-up on the patio in front of the fitness center, followed by a 30-minute fast-paced walking route around the perimeter of the property.
A highlight includes the palm tree-lined main entrance with the stunning Santa Rosa Mountains as a backdrop. Return for a 5-minute cool down. A great way to start your day feeling invigorated.
Cardio, Cuts & Core
Join this high-intensity, low-impact workout targeting the entire body with resistance exercises, range of motion, lower body building, and core training. Short bursts of dynamic cardio elevate the heart rate while building strength and endurance.
Designed for functional fitness, this class improves heart and lung capacity while sculpting and toning the body. Mild stretching completes the session. All levels welcome.
Circuit Training
A fast-paced, efficient workout integrating strength, balance, coordination, and cardio. This total-body challenge targets major muscle groups through timed stations designed to maximize calorie burn and improve agility and endurance.
Trigger a Tabata-like effect activating both fast- and slow-twitch muscle fibers. Challenge yourself within your own boundaries and leave feeling strong and energized. All levels welcome.
Country Heat
Burn calories with this fun, easy-to-follow, high-energy, low-impact aerobic movement class set to popular country music. Simple choreography is taught gradually, making it accessible for everyone.
Improve cardio fitness, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility while boosting energy. Expect a leaner, toned physique — and a lot of fun. All levels welcome.
Abs, Back & Glutes
This mat-based class uses short bursts of fast-paced exercises to strengthen and tone the abdominals, lower back, hips, glutes, and thighs while stabilizing the pelvis.
Learn unique exercises and balance drills you can take home with you. Designed for all fitness levels. All levels welcome.
Body Blast
A full-body cardiovascular workout using body weight, dumbbells, ropes, TRX, resistance bands, and more. High-intensity intervals alternate with recovery phases to boost endurance and burn fat.

Water Aerobics
A low-impact, high-intensity aqua fitness class performed in chest-deep water — no swimming required. Ideal for improving flexibility, strength, tone, and cardiovascular endurance while minimizing joint impact.

Mat Pilates
A mind-body practice focusing on core strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Exercises use body weight for resistance and may include rings, bands, balls, and foam rollers.

Dynamic Stretch

Flow Yoga
A vigorous, flowing class linking breath with continuous movement. Practice moderate to advanced poses that build strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility.

Vinyasa Yoga

Yoga – Align & Refine
